Dear KLM Families

Dear KLM Families,

We hope that this finds you and your family well. We know that this year has been a difficult one. While the pandemic and virtual programming threw many challenges to KLM and The Help Group, we are proud of what we have been able to maintain and offer during this time and hope that they have been a resource and support for you and your family.

Given the many challenges of ensuring safety for our young people and staff, we have decided that we will not be offering any in-person/virtual classes or camps this spring and summer. Instead, we’ll be taking this time to focus on The Help Group schools’ return to campus plans. This was a difficult decision for us all, but our goal is to safely resume in-person programming again in the fall.

We also wanted to share with you that we will be saying goodbye to Nicole Webb, Director of Kids Like Me. We would like to take a moment to thank Nicole for her unwavering dedication and commitment to the Kids Like Me Program. Nicole put her heart and soul into ensuring that young people with special needs had a place to grow, learn and feel accepted. Nicole has been a trusted and caring resource for so many families and her kind heart will be missed. Please feel free to send any messages, photos or video clips (under 30 seconds, please) to say goodbye to Nicole to [email protected] by Friday, April 16th.

We will be reaching out to you with plans regarding an in-person safe return as well as with updates regarding dates, times and registration information for our ongoing parent support and Village Glen Social Skills groups that will be continuing virtually.

Again, we thank you for your support. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].

Thank you,

Laurie Stephens, Ph.D.
